The Best of Mentoring Is Always Intentional…!

Mentoring can happen in all kinds of places, opportunities, time frames. However, the best of mentoring begins with a creative intentionality that helps a person live into their unique design for their life.

I’ve had some meaningful conversations where people have thanked me for mentoring them. That was kind of them. But there is much more to mentoring from both the perspective of the mentor and of the mentoree.

There have been a few times in my 70+ years that people have said something to me that hit the bullseye of my soul and made a difference in the trajectory of my life. Remembering some of those stuns me still in a very favorable way.

However, the mentoring our team does via Leadership Design Group (LDG) is uniquely, purposefully designed with an intentional framework that honors the uniqueness of each person being mentored.

This is not one size fits all.

The mentoring process we call the Circle of Life is as intentional as the bones in your body. We all have the same basic skeletal structure. Some of us have longer or larger bone structures than others. But our bodies depend on the bones to form us, hold us, get us to where we need to be. Every person, every organization fleshes out differently. And should.

Likewise, all mentoring within LDG, whether individuals or groups, is intentional for each person/each group. The benefit of being intentional brings the mentoring journey to unforeseen places in a life, in an organization, that sets people free to be all of who they were designed to be.

Valuing another intentionally is life-giving!

Thus, in the next several blog posts we will be helping you know the essence of our Circle of Life Mentoring Model. We will be unpacking the bones upon which each unique life and group functions.

How intentional are you about living your life to the fullest?

Where might living intentionally be lacking in your life?

What are some possible reasons for you not living intentionally?

To take a line from one of my favorite poets, Mary Oliver,

“What do you

plan to do

with your one wild

and precious life?

We focus on mentoring, the best of mentoring, as being intentional, aiming for deep-change, for every dimension of your whole life, with creative transformation being the outcome to celebrate.  The next blog posts will aid you on that journey.

We look forward to celebrating you, intentionally!
